Carib Lager
Popular Caribbean Beer Makes Its Way to Tennessee
July 2009 – The most sought-after beer in the Caribbean is finally available in Tennessee. Lipman Brothers is now distributing the family of Carib beers: Carib Lager, Carib Shandy Sorrel, Carib Shandy Lime, Carib Shandy Red and Royal Extra Stout.
Carib Lager, the flagship brand of Carib Brewery, is a refreshing, full-bodied, clear lager. Carib Lager debuted in 1950 and is considered to be the “defining icon of being young, modern and fashionable in Trinidad and Tobago.” It’s refreshing aroma coincides with Carib Brewery’s “clean label” policy, no additives allowed.
Trinidad and Tobago began brewing beer commercially shortly after World War I. In 1947 the Caribbean Development Company Limited Brewery (CDC) was formed and not long after the company launch its first beer, Carib Lager. Carib Lager became increasingly popular and by 1957 CDC became the sole brewer in Trinidad and Tobago.
Lipman Brothers is the sole distributor of Carib beers in Middle Tennessee. For more information visit caribbeer.com.
