Robert has worked in this family business since 1973, after graduating from the University of Kentucky. In 1988, Robert purchased Lipman Brothers, Inc., from his family members to become the company’s sole owner. In 1995, he founded R.S. Lipman to expand into the non-alcoholic and beer sectors of the beverage industry. In 2017, Robert formed RSL Holdings, a parent company for Lipman Brothers LLC (distributor), R.S. Lipman Company (supplier) and R.S. Lipman Brewing Company (breweries). With Robert at the helm, RSL Holdings operates nationwide as well as internationally.
Robert’s career spans over 45 years in the beverage industry, and he is a former chairman and president of Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America (WSWA). In April of 2008, Robert was honored by WSWA with the Lifetime Achievement Award. He presently serves on the boards of WSWA, SunTrust Bank (Nashville), Integrative Healing Technology (IHT) (Co-Chairman), MACMAC Marketplace, iControl Data and Nashville Polo Club (President). In 2014, he was inducted into the University of Kentucky Arts and Sciences Hall of Fame, where he is a current member of the Dean’s National Strategy Council. Robert is a lifetime member of the UK Alumni Association. In 2001, he created the Research Fund for the Prevention of Drug and Alcohol Abuse in the UK Department of Psychology. More recently, he has established the Robert S. Lipman Graduate Fellowships in History and Psychology to enhance recruitment of top graduate students to the University. Additionally, Robert is affiliated with numerous civic organizations in the Nashville area. He was honored by CommunityNashville as a 2008 Human Relations Award recipient.

Lowell is responsible for the successful execution of the respective mission statements of the operating entities under RSL Holdings: Lipman Brothers, R.S. Lipman Company, and R.S. Lipman Brewing Company. Lowell works closely with company CEO Robert Lipman, managers, suppliers and customers with a focus on continued growth in the markets Lipman serves. Lowell joined Lipman in 2012 as the Director of Operations. He served in the U.S. Army from 2000-2008, achieving the rank of Captain with the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment. A graduate of Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Lowell also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
Vice President of Sales
Greg, a 35-year veteran in the beverage alcohol industry, is Vice President of Sales for Lipman Brothers. He oversees Lipman Brothers’ sales force in all verticals: spirits, wines, beer, non-alcoholic beverages and cigars. Prior to joining Lipman’s management team in 1997, Greg spent 13 years in supplier positions with Brown-Forman, Glenmore Distilleries and United Distillers. He received a Bachelor’s Degree from Centre College in Danville, KY.
Director of Sales — Spirits
With over 40 years of Spirits experience Chuck came to Lipman in 2011 with the acquisition of the Tennessee Wine and Spirits Co, where he was Director of Spirit Sales and Retail Sales Manager for 7 years. Prior to that he held many sales and marketing positions for the Joseph E Seagram Corp. He has covered the Southeast, Midwest, Northeast and New England markets. He is a veteran of the US Army [R] and is currently an Officer in the US Coast Guard Auxiliary. Chuck holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Monmouth University in West Long Branch NJ. He and his family have been in Nashville since 1987.
Director of Sales — Wine
Pat originally joined Lipman in 1985 and worked in many capacities including wine sales manager before leaving to join Pacific Southern Wine Company in 1999 as regional sales manager, covering the southeast United States for multiple wineries. After 12 years of working as a supplier he rejoined Lipman Brothers as Director of Sales in October of 2010. Pat attended Cumberland University in Lebanon, TN.
Director of Sales – Beer
A native of Franklin, TN, Clark joined the Lipman Team in 2014. With more than 20 years experience in the beer industry, Clark’s responsibilities include management of the beer and non-alcoholic beverage divisions for Lipman Brothers. Previously, he served as the Craft and Import Beer Manager at Ajax Turner Company (Anheuser-Busch) in Nashville, TN. Clark earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance and Marketing from Birmingham-Southern College, where he was a 4-year collegiate soccer athlete.
Director of Sales — On-Premise
Charlie joined the Lipman management team in 1998. He has more than 30 years of on-premise experience in the food and beverage industry, including previous management roles at Rosie O Grady’s (Orlando), Cheyenne Saloon (Orlando), Wildhorse Saloon (Nashville), Gaylord Opryland Hotel (Nashville). Charlie graduated from Radford University in Virginia with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance.
Director of Information Technologies
Blake joined the Lipman team in 2013. With more than 20 years of experience in the IT field, he oversees the Information Technologies Department including networks, systems, internal development, and server environments. Blake received his degree from the University of North Alabama College of Business and has lived in the Middle Tennessee area since 1999.
Director, Financial Operations
With more than 35 years in the finance industry, Mary-Beth brought her accounting prowess to Lipman Brothers in 2015. She is in charge of all financial operations related to RSL Holdings, including Lipman Brothers, R.S. Lipman Company, and R.S. Lipman Brewing Company. Mary-Beth earned her B.S.B.A. Magna Cum Laude in Accounting from Western New England University, and is an active CPA in both Tennessee and North Carolina. Mary-Beth resides in Brentwood, TN.
Director of Sales & Product Education
With more than 40 years of experience, Paul Grand is a seasoned veteran in the wine, spirits and beer industry. In the role of Director of Sales & Product Education, Paul is responsible for coordinating on-premise national account wine and spirit placements between suppliers and the Lipman sales team. In addition, he conducts wine, spirits and beer staff training for on-premise and independent retail accounts. A respected blogger and featured employee in “Behind the Scenes with Team Green,” Paul also creates educational and sales materials featuring Lipman products for sales training and accounts. A graduate of Hofstra University, Paul earned an Introductory Sommelier Certificate from the Court of Master Sommeliers. Fun fact: Paul got his start in the industry as bartender and manager at two legendary Nashville establishments: Exit/Inn and the Gold Rush.
Director of Sales, Independent Retail Wine
Nick joined the Lipman Brothers team in May of 2017 after five years on the supplier side of the business with Pasternak Wine Imports, Zonin USA, and Arel Group. Nick has 25 years of experience in the industry, with 20 years specifically dedicated to distributing, primarily at Southern Wine & Spirits. At Lipman Brothers, Nick is responsible for delivering annual sales plans, developing go-to-market strategies, and other aspects off the Off-Premise Independent Retail Sales Force. Nick and his family live in Franklin, TN.
Since joining Lipman Brothers in 2012, James (better known as “Top”) has worked his way up from Warehouse Management System Project Manager, to Operations Day Manager, to Operations Manager. Top has 28 years of experience in the industry, which began with a B.S. degree in Business Management from Columbia Southern. James is in charge of the overall operations for Lipman Brothers in Nashville and East Tennessee, providing guidance, mentoring, and coaching for more than 120 team members. He served 21 years in the U.S. Army, deploying to Iraq 3 times and to Afghanistan twice. James lives with his wife Jamie, also a veteran of the Iraq War, in Clarksville; not far from their daughter Alexandra, son James, and their two grandchildren.
Community Relations & Special Events Coordinator
Bethany joined the Lipman Brothers team in 1998 as the Sales and Marketing Coordinator. Since then, she has been instrumental in planning and activating product contributions to hundreds of charitable partners and consumer community events, including Taste of Music City, Steeplechase, and Wine on the River. Bethany works directly with event planners and community volunteers in Nashville, Knoxville, Chattanooga and the Tri-Cities to help raise millions of dollars, while keeping Lipman Brothers’ portfolio of products in the forefront for consumers. Bethany lives in Lebanon, TN, with her husband Kenneth and son McKenzie.
Director, Human Resources
Lora joined the Lipman Brothers tam in 2017, bringing 15 years of expertise in Human Relations. Lora oversees all aspects of the Human Relations department, including employee relations, operations, and recruitment. She has a B.A. in Spanish, another in HR Management, and attended U.C. Santa Barbara and UCLA. Lora joined Lipman Brothers after 12 years working in Napa Valley for iconic wine properties like Harlan Estates, Mumm Napa Valley, Chappellet, and Duckhorn Wine Co. Along with her built-in education in the fine wine business, Lora spent several years working in the beauty industry for Revlon. While living in California, Lora was a leader in the Women for WineSense non-profit. She lives in Franklin with her husband Lew, daughter Ciandra, and beloved pets.
